Made for Moments

At Yancey Seibert Shearouse Interior Design, we strive to curate a feeling, not just achieve an aesthetic. Our clients are our muses; their families the true foundation of every home we touch. We believe that the most beautiful interiors are also the most personal and use this as our guiding philosophy in designing a sanctuary for all of life's moments, both ordinary and extraordinary.

And because we know the importance of a making a good first impression, YSS Interior Design has also been entrusted with designing retail spaces, medical offices and private clubs.

While recognized for our fresh take on traditional design, we are dedicated to creating warm and welcoming environments no matter your preferred style or budget. Let’s get started on your dream project here.

Based in Augusta, Georgia, we work on both residential and commercial projects across the Southeast.

Yancey Seibert Shearhouse

YANCEY SEIBERT SHEAROUSE, ASID

Principal Designer (NCIDQ certified)

Influenced by the rich architectural history that surrounded her while growing up in Natchez—perhaps one of the finest examples of a preserved antebellum town—Yancey pursued a degree in interior design at the University of Mississippi. Soon after, her work quickly garnered attention, and she was selected by Atlanta Decorative Arts Center as "One to Watch" and nominated for ADAC's "Rising Star" award.

Yancey’s strength lies in her unique design process, which always begins with on-the-spot hand drawn renderings, which allow clients to visualize a project from the very first meeting. Her knowledge of space planning and building construction combined with an expertise in art history also sets Yancey apart. Read about her “Signature 5 Points of Decorating” and get to know more about her early years here.

Out of the office, Yancey loves taking in the idyllic charms of Beaufort, South Carolina with her husband Scott, son Walker, daughter Caroline, Kate the Dog and new pup, Dixie.

CHRISTINA LAKE

Designer

Christina got her first taste of design as a young girl accompanying her parents to antique shops. She went on to earn a degree in fashion merchandising from Georgia Southern University, where she developed a keen eye for color matching, a skill she has nurtured through various creative positions before joining YSS Interior Design in 2014.

She now oversees every design project, from initial design boards to the very last accessory being placed in a home. Christina’s dedication to keeping up with current interior trends often finds her traveling to ADAC and accompanying Yancey on buying trips.

On the weekends, Christina enjoys entertaining family and friends in her 1940s Colonial and hiking with her husband Brent, daughters Ollie Kate and Evans, and two puppies.

Kayle King of Yancey Seibert Shearhouse

KAYLE KING

Project Manager

Hailing from a corporate background with a degree in public relations, Kayle brings the left brain to all our creative endeavors at YSS. She’s the first point of contact when clients initially reach out, and she also handles order management, receiving, billing and much more to ensure projects stay on track. Kayle loves the challenges and fulfillment that come with working for a small company.

When’s she’s not working, you can most often find Kayle chasing her daughter Madeline and two dogs around the playground with her husband Stephen. They are also overjoyed to have welcomed baby Tripp to their family this summer.

Hannah joslin

Project Assistant

Hannah graduated from Augusta University with a degree in Communications and Business Administration. Always knowing she wanted to land a job in the interior design world, Hannah runs the operations for all things behind the scenes at YSS. A look into Hannah’s everyday roles at the office, you can find her handling orders, communicating with clients about appointments and installations, managing the office, receiving products, and much more. From making sure all projects are running smoothly from start to finish to hanging mirrors and art from time to time, Hannah loves jumping in where extra hands are needed.

When Hannah is not spending time with her fiance, Wyatt, or her dog, Remington, you can find her coaching the Augusta University Cheerleading Team, going back to Atlanta to see her family, painting, and/or spending time with her friends.

Karlie Boggus

Junior Designer

Growing up in the construction industry with her dad and her mom’s love for color, Karlie quickly grew an appreciation for well-designed spaces. Karlie interned for YSS in the summer of 2021, and after completing her degree in Interior Design from Georgia Southern University, she joined the team full-time in May of 2022.

Karlie works closely with the drapery and upholstery workrooms for each project. She assists on all installations- big or small! Her favorite part of the job is seeing all of the finishing pieces come together. When she is not out measuring or installing, she is spending time with her family and friends, and her Golden Retriever, Penny.
